HOW WE DO IT!

For a mix, provide me with your tracks that are ready for mixing. Vocal tracks can be tuned to perfection, as well as fixing any timing issues.

Send files as  WAV or AIFF files at 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96kHz; 16 or 24 bit. 

Supply me with mono or stereo files, clearly named and without audio clipping.  

You will need to provide multi-tracks that are consolidated or bounced from the start point of your song (bar 1 beat 1 or start time code). All files must be of the same duration, sample rate and bit depth. 

There is a 48 multi-track limit. A track cannot share different sounds, for example a backing vocal track with a guitar solo in the middle. If you need to bounce files to save on tracks, I suggest backing vocals and harmonies as a good place to start.  

I request that multi-track files are supplied dry, without reverb or effects. However, if you feel a specific effect, processing, or creative element (such as filter sweeps, delays etc) is an integral part of the sound, please provide the processed version plus a ‘dry safety’ version. 

Make sure you allow plenty of headroom when printing your multi-tracks to avoid clipping or distortion. These artifacts cannot be removed in the mix process. 

In addition to as much written information as possible, you’re welcome to provide a rough mix and commercially released reference song. A commercial song is only a guide and results are completely dependent on the quality and style of the multi-track provided. You can add these files to the reference tracks folder on the set up job page. 

You can upload all your audio files to Dropbox. 

What you can expect with on-line production: 

In most cases, the turnaround time is within 10 days or less (more or less :) ).  Emergency situations can receive a 2-day turnaround (1 day is possible).

One mix revision is included in the price.  Any requests for further mix revisions will carry an additional charge. 

In-Studio Recording: 

After a 3 or 4 hour in-studio session you'll be provided with a complete, radio-ready recording in MP3, WAV and AIFF formats.  

It is a work-for-hire relationship meaning there are no contracts to sign, no further obligation to you the artist after our work is completed, and the music we create is yours to keep. I will have no official or lawful claim to any of your music. 

If however, it is clear you have a project that is in need of original music created by Dean, a major hook/chorus or anything that we agree is now the crux of the song, we can have a dialog about taking the proper steps to achieve co-ownership. 

Dean accepts all Major Credit Cards.

If you're not quite sure just how you want things to go, I will offer my expert opinion and guidance as we work with an open dialog. I'm not satisfied until you're satisfied!

Other musical instruments are here too; all played with true musical heart and soul as performed by a world-class musician on a keyboard driving first rate sound samples. 

Online Mastering 

Send me your weak, your poor, your tired sounding mixes and I'll remix and master your work, readying your music for TV or Radio Broadcast. This process will bring your songs to life giving your music a fresh perspective. Things can also be tamed and smoothed to gentle precision dependent on the genre and your personal taste.
